Issey Veysey completed her Art A2 at Grey Coat last year and is now studying History of Art at York University.
She volunteers at the Norman Rea gallery on campus and is on their committee. She is helping curate the summer exhibition and this year it is ‘WINK: Reinventing the Icon’. It’s an exciting exhibition, open to anyone, where you are invited to create a piece of art based on a previous artist’s work, but changing it e.g. Duchamp’s Mona Lisa. It can be anything from a painting to sculpture to a performance piece.
All work that’s chosen will go on sale if the artist wants that. Please click below to a link to the gallery and the exhibition and information on deadlines for submission of work.
