Pinterest is a visual discovery tool that people use to collect ideas for their different projects and interests. People create and share collections (called “boards”) of visual bookmarks using the internet or the Pinterest App for Ipad.
It works by clicking on an image online and ‘pinning it’ to themed boards, e.g. we are using it for building up a bank of images for a project or exam question that students can access at home. Pinners can ‘follow’ other schools and art galleries
‘Pinners’ can ‘repin’ other people’s images to their own board and share boards so two or more people (e.g. students in groups or teachers) can add to them at once.
Sign up to Pinterest (http://www.pinterest.com/gchartdepart/) and look us up by searching for ‘The Grey Coat Hospital Art Department’. We hope this will help students in all year groups find images and artists to help with projects and to inspire them to make amazing work.
